Did you know that every Citizens Advice Bureau is a charity?

For more than 70 years, Citizens Advice Bureaux have been a vital part of the fabric of your community. Today, the demand for our services is greater than ever. But at the same time, some bureaux are facing budget cuts and many more are concerned that funding is inadequate to cover their basic costs.

Sheffield Mental Health Citizens Advice Bureau is a specialist service helping people who use Mental Health services in Sheffield.

We are completely independent and our advice is impartial, confidential and free. We are a charity. That means, like any charity, we rely on the support and generosity of companies, grant-making trusts and members of the public. People like you.

We are funded by Sheffield City Council, Sheffield Health and Sheffield Primary Care Trust, but as always funding is never enough and we have to look for additional funding elsewhere to provide the service.

If you would like to help, you can either make a one-off donation by sending a cheque payable to 'Sheffield Mental Health CAB Ltd' to the address below or you may wish to consider 'Give As You Earn' which is a Government scheme where your donation is taken each month from your wages / salary and is exempt from Tax, so you pay less but give more!

You can now make donations to Sheffield Mental Health CAB and Advocacy Service via text from your mobile phone regardless of mobile network by using the new justtextgiving service for free.

Your donation will be deducted from your mobile phone credit, or added to your monthly phone bill. You won’t be charged for the text message either.

Simply text SMHC11 and the amount you wish to give from £2 to £10 ie SMHC11 £10 to 70070.

You will then receive a confirmation text by return which will give you the opportunity to Gift Aid it, which will add a further 25% to your donation and will not cost you another penny.

All of the donation you give will be passed to Sheffield Mental Health CAB and Advocacy Service.
