We accept referrals from carers, friends and family members of people who may need an advocate. In order to preserve confidentiality, we do not take referrals over the internet. This number is Free when you call from a landline or payphone. If you are calling from a mobile, dial 0114 2261674 to access normal call rates (usually included in most contracts). The phoneline is usually staffed Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm; if we are not available to take your call, or outside these times, there is an answerphone. Please leave a message and a contact number, and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
Please note that this is not an emergency service. Please see the 'Self Help' tab at the top for details of crisis and emergency services in Sheffield, telephone Helplines and web resources or contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647 and tell them it is about mental health. When you call us, we will usually try to get back to you or the person you are referring within two working days for further details. If we are not able to help you, we will try to signpost you to another organisation who can. We operate a waiting list system, and will allocate each case to an Advocate as soon as we are able. Please note that we are not able to disclose any information about those using our services to anyone else, in order to preserve their confidentiality. We can only discuss one of our clients if we have their express permission to do so with you.
