Sheffield Mental Health Advocacy Service has existed since 2002, when it was begun as a project of Sheffield Mental Health CAB.

In 2009, the service was awarded the contract to provide the specialist Independent Mental Health Advocacy service for Sheffield. Please see the ‘About Us’ tab above for the full history of the organisation, and the pages on our advocacy services for more about what we do.

Our current team is made up of paid staff and volunteers, full and part-time. You can find more information about vacancies for paid staff or volunteers by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page. 

We positively welcome people with experience of mental health services to get involved in our organisation at all levels.

We are based in offices at both the Michael Carlisle Centre and the Longley Centre, and work throughout Sheffield.
