You can access our Advice Service yourself by phone or you can ask your support worker to contact us on your behalf. Further details as follows:
Telephone adviceFor an opportunity to speak to an Advice Worker, who will be able to help with your enquiry or direct you to someone else who can, please phone 0114 271 8025 and leave a message on the voicemail and someone will get back to you. Please note that voicemail is checked several times a day (except weekends and bank holidays). Mobile advice serviceOur mobile service is designed to provide advice to clients onsite at day centres, GP surgeries or anywhere else where there is a need for an advice service with insufficient space or office equipment for confidential interviews and advice. The mobile service works from a specially adapted van with two interview rooms, which is parked onsite during advice sessions. At present the mobile service operates one session every week at St Wilfrid’s Centre, 524 Queens Rd Sheffield S2 4DT. This service is for people using the centre only. Availability is advertised at St Wilfrid's with an up-to-date diary of session dates and times on display at the centre and the centre operates a booking system. Appointments only advice serviceAvailable at the both inpatient sites based at Michael Carlisle and Longley Centres. Priority will be given to inpatients. GP surgeries advice serviceAvailable for people registered at the surgery only. Ask the surgery receptionist to book you an appointment to see one of our advice workers. Advice via emailWe currently do not have the resources available to provide advice via email. Home visitsWe will do home visits only when there isn't an alternative and we have advisers available. Speaking your languageWe can involve an interpreter or signer. Just let us know your particular needs and we will do our best to help.
