By Bus
Catch the 20 bus from the city centre (which departs approximately every 10 minutes during the day from Arundel Gate.) and get off at the stop after Norwood Road on Herries Road.
To reach the Longley Centre, cross Herries Road and walk through the gap in the wall, into the Longley Centre car park.
By Car
If you are travelling by car down Herries Road, you turn left when you see the Blood Transfusion Centre then turn immediately right, then right again into the car park.
If approaching by car from Barnsley Road from City Centre, turn left at the traffic lights onto Norwood Road. At the end of Norwood Road, turn left onto Herries Road and take the first right, then immediately right again into the car park (watch out for the barriers).
Our office is situated along the corridor from the main reception, through the doors at the side of the Sweets and Treats Shop and then the first door on the left.

By Bus
The terminus of the number 22 bus is on Union Road. Buses from the city centre depart approximately every 10 minutes during the day from Church Street and from outside the Town Hall.
To reach the Michael Carlisle Centre, walk along Union Road and turn left onto Osborne Road. Walk up the hill and turn left into the Michael Carlisle Centre grounds, once you have passed the turn-off for St Andrews Road.
By Car
Directions by car are as follows:
- At Park Square roundabout (at the end of the Parkway), take the 3rd exit onto Sheaf Street, past the Railway Station (signposted Ring Road, Chesterfield).
- Then bear left (one way) (signposted Chesterfield, Bakewell A621).
- At Granville Square continue forward onto Queens Road – A61 (signposted Chesterfield) past B&Q Warehouse.
- At traffic signals continue forward (signposted Chesterfield).
- At traffic signals branch left onto London Road - A61.
- At traffic signals turn right onto Broadfield Road.
- Continue forward onto Sheldon Road.
- Continue forward onto Machon Bank Road.
- Bear left onto Barkers Road.
- Turn right onto Osborne Road.
- Continue on Osborne Road and bear left.
- Michael Carlisle Centre Carpark entrance on the Michael Carlisle Centre is on your left.
Once you have reached the car park you will see the entrance to the Michael Carlisle Centre on your right. Please ask reception to let us know you have arrived – thank you.
