We receive funding from various sources for our services and projects as follows: CAB Advice Service:Our core funding is in the form of grants, primarily from the Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Health. In 2009, we received a grant from Lloyds TSB Foundation Trust for 2 years which enabled us to extend our Mobile Advice Service to St Wilfrids Centre. In 2010, we received a grant from Citizens Advice nationally and Nationwide Building Society for their innovative MoneyActive project. It is a three-year project, running from 2009-2012, that is supporting the recruitment and training of 1,300 volunteers to deliver financial education within communities across the UK. We have now been awarded the grant for 2 years, and hope to continue to be involved for the third year. Please visit our Advice pages for more information about our CAB Advice Service. Advocacy Service:Both our General Mental Health and Independent Mental Health Advocacy Services are funded by Sheffield Primary Care Trust. We were also awarded the contract to provide the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) representative service by Sheffield City Council. Please visit our Advocacy pages for more information about our various advocacy services. AcknowledgementsWe would like to thank Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust for continuing to let us use their premises at their main inpatient sites and also providing stationery supplies. We would also like to thank all our funders for their continued support. We regularly have to fundraise from other sources to ensure that we can continue to provide our services. However, with the Government cut backs, the voluntary sector, including ourselves, are being hit by having our grants reduced, and are finding it increasingly difficult to continue to provide services. CommissioningIf you would like to commission Sheffield Mental Health Citizens Advice Bureau Limited and Advocacy Service to provide services, please contact our Manager, Lesley Faithful on 0114 271 8025 to discuss.
